Sea.
For centuries the health effects of the Dead Sea have been studied by everyone
from Cleopatra to present day scientists for a variety of reasons. Most immediately
are the benefits of its high mineral content and lack of pollens or other allergens
in the air. Other benefits, however, have to do with its elevation. Visitors to
the Dead Sea are exposed to a lower level of ultraviolet radiation which reduce the
effect of aging on the skin as well as the higher atmospheric pressure which can
ease the affects of respiratory diseases.
