I was looking for a moisturizer mostly for my face during winter. I stumbled onto this website and read about about shea butter. My initial thoughts were skeptical about the claims that were made. I researched it some more and I decided that I would "gamble" a few dollars and try it. What a difference it made. I have and will be using this product all year.

I have ordered this twice.Deeply moisturizes skin.Keeps pedi look fresh longer,heels stay soft.Has not rubbed off on my clothes or bedding.One tub lasts about 6-7weeks.Container/tub is sturdy and lid fits well and stays shut properly.I use it right after a shower.It does have a bacon-like scent.Strange but goes away in a few minutes.Works so well that the temporary scent is worth it.Texture is like a crumbly,dry soap but easily "melts"and is easy to apply to skin.

The first time i purchased this product I fell in love immediately! It is so rich and creamy and goes on smoothly. It makes my may hair soft and manageable. I was so impressed I order 2 more the next day! I highly recommend this product. This should be a staple for any beauty regimen!

I purchased the Ivory Shea Butter about 2-3 weeks ago and I am really enjoying it. It is an authentic ivory color which some are a yellow color and irritate my skin. This product I use on my body, face, and hair. I received my package within 4-5 days. However, the tracking information provided doesnt show you the progression of the shipment which is okay since it was shipped via USPS.

This is my first order with this company but will order from them again. I make my own face cream and love using this shea butter.

I have been using this for a couple of weeks and recently combined it with cocoa butter from this site to form a heavenly smelling body cream. The nutty smell I don't have a problem with at all and I could see how some do but it is fine with me. This was my first purchase but I am already in the process of ordering more...in BULK this time!!!

Prior to trying this I was concerned that it may be a little too course, but I was pleasantly surprised that there are no visible particles and it goes into my skin very smoothly. The smell is not offensive and it is clearly a high quality product. I keep quite a bit of this on hand for use in whipped shea butter recipes. Definitely will order again and have recommended it to friends!

I was about to buy from a vendor on Amazon for 1/3 the price until I took the time to read their reviews. This shea butter is exactly what it says it is with a consistent, workable texture, no additives, no weird coloring. I used it to make lotion (warning, when using as lotion do not get discouraged if it feels greasy... that will soak in leaving your skin amaaazing.)

I have very sensitive skin and had a very bad inflammation on my feet. As my skin is also extremely dry and scaly, it would crack and I could barely walk. All creams I tried except for one burned when I applied them and the only thing I could use was straight olive oil from my kitchen. Not very workable. Then I discovered a shea butter lotion and it didn't burn, but it was very expensive and every time I tried to order it, I had to wait for months. So I went online and I discovered Cleopatra's Choice. It was much cheaper than the other cream and readily available. I bought a pound and it arrived promptly. At first I had issues with the smell and it's still not my favorite, but it feels good on my skin and relieves the surface dryness and I feel it's a factor in my skin healing (very slowly, but definitely improving).

Ordered this, received it promptly, and love it! Made some body butter that turned out beautiful and I use this by itself. It has an earthy smell that I have come to love! It soaks right into the skin and is non greasy! I was so pleased that I immediately ordered another pound, but the yellow this go around, and love it too. Price and quality are both great!!

when i got this it was a lot harder than i expected, probably because it was cold outside. but i put it in a warmer are and it is easy to scoop out. honestly i hate the smell on my skin, but i bought it primarily for my hair. I use it to make my own hair conditioner, etc. and it works great. i also used it to shave and my legs were soo wonderfully soft and smooth. at first i thought it was too expensive, but its a good price for the amount and knowing it is grade a and organic.

You can tell that it is pure shea butter. I use it in my natural hair products and on my kids skin. It is shipped right away and received it in excellent condition. This is a very wonderful product will be ordering again very soon.

I have natural hair (2yrs) and haven't been able to find ANYTHING to keep it soft, and manageable. This product is nice, works well, non greasy. The smell is very organic so don't expect a purfume smell, you won't get one here.

I am 54 years old and suffered from horribly dry skin and I itched all the time. i am a single mom of 3 boys who all have eczema (different levels of severity). this has become very costly for me because most of the eczema products out there are very expensive and i have found that the same products do not work for all of my boys.... my mom introduced me to this product when i went to visit her a few months ago. This stuff is the bomb! It has helped my dry, red patches like no other moisturizer. I was paying $52 for face cream, but not any more. This will be a permanent fixture in my home.

I was a little concerned when I order the product, I was expecting to have a strong scent as described by others, however I am so pleased with the Shea butter I used it every day on my face and feet. I had a problem with my face being so dry it would hurt as part of it felt as it I had tiny cuts on it from being so dry. I started to add a couple of drops of the tree tea oil and the Shea butter and I am happy to say that my face feels soft the dry skin is gone and my feet are so much better. I used the same process with my feet I apply the tree tea oil, immediately follow I apply the Shea butter and I just love it. I highly recommend this product. It really works wonders. I got tired of ordering shea butter from companies claiming to have the ivory, they always end up sending the yellow. I am happy to find Cleopatra's Choice to get product that I need. Shipment was fast, and was as advertised. I'm loving it.

I was using a cheap cocoa butter lotion before I learned that many of the ingredients in it clogged pores. I wanted to find a pure non comedogenic moisturizer and came across this gem. I've been using this product for a while now but I do not use it every day. It takes me a longer time to moisturize because it's thicker than lotion. Melting it my hands first helps, but if I shower in the morning before work, I only use it on certain areas rather than my entire body due to lack of time (unless I woke up earlier, but who really wants to do that :p) I do really love it, though. I've noticed a slight change in my stretch marks, they appear to be getting lighter- it keeps your skin hydrated all day long, sometimes even into the next day. It's great to use on your face (just don't use too much or else it'll feel too slick) and makes me feel like I'm combatting lines and wrinkles and also blemishes. I highly recommend it as it is a great non comedogenic product and proves lasting hydration which skin needs.

I bought this product because I had been suffering from a severe case of hand eczema for months. I had tried everything else I could think of including some over the counter lotions specifically made to treat eczema. Don't get me wrong I love the yellow shea butter too, but the Ivory has really helped to kick my eczema in the rear!!! I love it, it's got a creamier texture than the yellow. For those of you who suffer with psoriasis and eczema this product truly offered me relife. I purchased a pound for myself and a pound for my mom who swears by shea butter; period. We used to buy GNC's organic shea butter until our local store stopped carrying it. We are glad we came across Cleopatra's Choice. I didn't realize there were different grades before, but now that we have tried this brand we not only know but see the difference. This butter spreads easily & keeps my husband's extremely dry skin hydrated. It does have a slightly more distinct odor, but we do not consider it offensive & consider it welcome thanks to the retention of vitamins. If it's a concern, you could mix with essential oils.

I purchased a pound of this and a pound of the yellow shea butter. I am very pleased and satisfied. I have sensitive skin and allergies, and shea butter is one of the very few products that I can use that actually works. I have recommended both the products and Cleopatra's Choice to several friends, and gave a few people small amounts to take home and try for themselves. A little goes a long way.

I love shea butter products so I am biased (have shaving products, soaps, oils etc.), but this is a very good, raw, shea butter. I scrape out portions with my fingers into one hand and rub them both together to moisten the shea and then apply liberally to legs, arms, torso, face and hair. I use it on myself, as well as my two small boys. Great for summer time fun at beach or pool, non-greasy, and soaks right in to the skin within moments. Leaves a nice, clean, natural glow. It is not creamy, so if you're not into a naturally hard substance that one must moisten as I described above you may not like it and I suggest you find a creamy version. However, the creamy versions will be costlier per volume and not last nearly as long. Leave it in a warm area of your home or apartment and it will moisten the shea and ease application. Great for all of course, but especially for people of color looking for natural, non-toxic, moisturizers for themselves and their family.

My whole family loves this shea butter. Living in the desert, our skin gets very dry. My husband , my sons, and I use the organic ivory shea butter on our lips, skin, and hair, it works better than anything we have tried before. I will continue to buy this product!

I haven't had my shea butter that long to notice any significant difference. I like using it after I take a shower. I don't know if its beneficial as a lip cream as I usually put some type of treatment on at night to keep my lips from getting chap. I know it can be used on your hair. I tried it one or twice, but not sure how to use it on my hair without getting it weighed down. A little bit can go a long way so the tub I ordered should last me a long time. I'm looking for an easier way to soften it other than rubbing it between my hands so I can appy it. So far its ok. Since I don't have any major skin problems, it may take awhile for me to notice any changes. Don't like using too much when I'm going out because I'm not crazy about the smell.

I just got my shea butter today and couldn't wait to wash my face and use it! Like other reviews I have to say that the shea butter instantly moisturizes and fine lines seem to vanish! That is amazing! However, I had to wash off because I absolutely cannot tolerate the smell! It smells like bacon fat! My husband and son agree too! If I liked bacon perhaps I would like it but I don't think I will be able to continue to use this product. It's a shame because I can tell that it really would work so well!

I have looked a long time for a product like this -pure, gentle and effective. I have dry and sensitive skin and this works for both conditions. Seems to minimize wrinkles and softens skin. I use it daily on face, feet, legs and hands and am very happy. My skin looks and feels healthier. Customer service at Cleopatras Choice has been very helpful also. Great product and great service.

I have been using this for a few weeks now and I am loving it! Using it right out of the tub on my face and have made lotion bars as well. Both ways work well. Never feel like I need to reapply. I do use it on small patches of psoriasis during the day as well and it helps stop the itching. Really helps with the appearance of the dry skin immediately. Amazing for feet, hours after applying my feet still look like I have just applied. Love it love it love it! I also have made lip balm and they turned out amazing too!! I wish I had found this sooner. Sticking to this supplier as I have wasted my money on others and not got what was advertised or paid for. If you have never used before just give it a go....you will be a convert in under a minute! Also good for my hair too! Soooo many uses-can't wait to travel as my toiletries bag will be so small!!

This product is fantastic. I have been using a "clearer" form of shea butter for years, and there is no comparison. After reading up on it, I realize it was a more processed version, to look consistent and be odorless. FIrst of all, the smell of this stuff is great, and it is not very strong. Second, the performance difference is amazing. It is SO emollient that I need half as much to do double the work. The price is also half for twice as much. I am pleased beyond belief!

Hi All, I ordered the ivory shea butter from here and Iove it! I had the yellow from another source and I much prefer the ivory. It is smoother, has a milder odor and seems to penetrate faster. It arrived quickly as promised and I will be ordering again.

Hello, I am one of those women who has been buying and trying every product under the sun to ward off aging. From over 250.00 dollar department store creams to the lesser priced ones. I happen to come upon some articles about raw Shea Butter and decided to try it. First I bought a different brand at Whole Foods in Napa, CA, but then I found Cleopatra's Choice online at a much better price (WF charged 10.00 for only 2 OZ). Unlike the WF brand, Cleopatra's Shea butter has the grade A rating, and was much fresher than WFoods. I cannot begin to tell you how impressed I am with the results. I have bought the yellow as well as the ivory Shea butter and I like them both. My skin's uneven coloring has started to fade dramatically, gotten super soft, and absolutely NO break-outs like some super expensive creams used to cause me to have (Like Strivectin for example) I still cannot believe that such a simple one-ingredient and natural product can do all this. I have wasted so much money over the years (I am 52 years old) and wish I had known about this stuff long time ago. Never too old to learn, right?! I will only use this stuff on my face, body and lips from now on. I even use it on my eye-lids and underneath my eyes at night without ANY irritation whatsoever to my eyes. I normally would not take the time to go on about a product like this, but I am so excited that this has made major differences in my skin. Even little areas where I have "picked" at my skin have healed in no time. It feels as if this stuff stops any skin inflammation. This Shea butter's effects are ridiculously effective! I can't say enough how good this shea butter is.... but even my son likes it for his dry skin, over any lotion...and he is very picky on all natural or organic items ............... You can't go wrong with African Shea butter.... and it last a long time I bought two tubs last year... and I still have alot of it left.. a little goes along way....

This is great shea butter. Sure it has a woodsy odor, it comes from a tree, but it it doesn't last long and it isn't bad. It melts easily and is easily absorbed. This tub will last a long time but when it is all gone, I will most likely buy some more. My feet haven't looked this good since I was a child.

I ordered this product because I saw someone recommended Shea butter for skin acne. I found this site just by surfing the web. I had been experiencing skin acne around the nose, chin and mouth area due to menopause. My new skin regimen is, canduela cream and than the Shea butter. I now have my skin back and only occasionally might have one red dot here and there that goes away in a day or so. I can only say, try this item, you won't regret it!!!

Received my order yesterday and I immediately whipped up some hair butter and face butter, and I really like this product. I did not have a "WOW" moment, but I like the way this product feels on my hair, and my face butter was very nice, my face and neck & hands was nice and smooth. This is a keeper for my hair/face for sure!

I have heard that refined shea butter loses much of its healing properties, and what a shame, because I really dislike the smoky, oily smell of raw shea butter. The ivory is certainly less stinky, and after a couple of hours the smell dissipates. Still, I will continue to purchase this product because it works so well. Absorbs readily into the skin and is great for baby cheeks and noses in cold weather. Would be great in a stick applicator!

Since receiving your Shea Butter my 10 year old daughter's skin has improved dramatically. Having tried several creams (mostly suggestions of doctors/dermatologists) to no avail the Shea Butter has been the answer all round. The moisture levels in her skin have dramatically improved, the itching has almost gone (triggers of her eczema are still an issue, but getting under control more easily) and she is just a much happier girl for this. Thank you to a wonderful product. I use the shea butter also and love it!!! I would like to know if there is a way to whip the butter so that it is easier to get out of the container and apply (ie mixing it with another carrier oil perhaps??). That way each bit of shea butter wouldn't need to melt on your hands first and it could be done quicker.

I like this shea butter for everyday use and for extra care treatment of dry weather skin. It's a good value for the large amount & it lasts a long time. I just bought it again for myself and as a gift.

A friend had recommended the Shea Butter because I had major skin irritation after radiation treatments for breast cancer. ( I did check with my doctor before using). Because my skin was so sensitive I do heat slightly in the microwave to make it easy to apply. I now use it daily as a moisturizer and was very pleased at how quickly this helped heal my skin. This is the best skin product I have ever found.
