Oily Skin Care

Excessively oily skin can be an embarrassing condition that can lead to acne and other dermatological problems. Here are some helpful tips on dealing with this completely common condition.

1) Most dermatologists agree that showering in water that is not excessively hot but rather luke warm is better for oily skin. The reason is that hot water can dehydrate your skin leading to dryness which the body attempts to compensate for by releasing oil.

2) Oil is released from the skin naturally and there has been no medical proof that diet is related to excessively oily skin. However, regular exercise and a healthy diet as well as reducing stress can help oil glands regulate with the rest of your body.

3) Over using abrasive or harsh skin cleanser can actually increase the oiliness of your skin. Be prudent went selecting moisturizers and sunscreen products. Certain brands are advertised as non-comedogenic which means they don't cause clogged pores.

 

Even though moisturizers and constant care can help some people, oily skin is usually a hereditary condition that cannot be avoided. Some of these tips can help alleviate the severity, however. Treatment can be as unique as the individual and one of the simplest ways to deal with oily skin is relaxation.
