Anti-Aging Skin Care: Halt the Hands of Time

In our youth-obsessed American culture, everyone is constantly looking for different ways to retain that youthful look.  Plastic surgery is rampant and alleged quick fixes abound.

However, if you're interested in looking young, the most important tool is far from a quick fix – instead, it requires time and commitment.  Fundamentally, you must take good care of your skin, especially from the sun. Here are several steps on how you can keep that youthful splendor, as well as what you can do to reverse the damage that has already been done by time.

You Can't Use Too Much Sunscreen
Sunscreen is incredibly important as anti-aging skin care!  It can't be stressed enough.  Whether you are 15 or 51, be sure to wear sufficient sunscreen everyday - at least SPF 15, but preferably higher.  Keep in mind that most irreversible sun damage is done before a person's 20th birthday; protecting your skin against the damages of UV rays is the key to retaining your youthful look.

Body Care KitMany foundations offer an SPF 15 or higher coverage, which makes your UV protection easy and pretty to achieve.  Or, you can opt for a daily moisturizer that contains SPF for an easy way to conserve your skin's youthful glow.

Incorporate Higher SPFs
If you are enjoying a day at the beach, or perhaps “tanning” under the sun, make sure to use a SPF of 45 or higher to prevent damaging UV rays from aging your skin.  One bad sun burn can cause lasting damage for years to come, and no anti-aging skin care can reserves this damage.

However, this does not mean that you have to necessarily avoid getting a light, healthy tan.  Light tanning can be healthy because sunlight produces valuable vitamin D in the skin, an important key to skin health and your overall health as well.  However, much of the determination as to how much sun exposure you can safely endure is dependent on your complexion.  Are you fair?  Do you have freckles?   If so, you should always wear a high level SPF sunscreen and avoid being outside for too long because you'll easily burn - and end up with both freckles and wrinkles.

Anti-Aging: SPFs for Darker Complexions
If your complexion is a bit darker and you're able to withstand the sun for longer amounts of time without burning, this does not mean that you should avoid sunscreen!  This point cannot be stressed enough.  Rather, you should certainly continue to wear daily an SPF of 15 or higher as anti-aging skin care; if you are at the beach or in the sun for hours, you should wear an SPF 25 or higher.  Your skin can still lightly tan when you use these products – but it is the nasty, damaging sunburn that you want to avoid.  Sunburns are the main culprit for what ages your skin the quickest.

Repairing Your Skin Body Care Kit
Anti-aging skin care products can help your skin repair and recover from the shocks of the sun through the use of nutrients.  The revolution in medical science incorporates the power of ingredients such as PSP and Idebenone in anti-aging skincare products.  However, nothing works better than prevention, and it is never too late to start preserving the youth of your skin today.
