eb5 Skin care- A 100 year old Tradition
The EB5 skin care line began as a compound of botanical extracts and pharmaceutical powders mixed together by Pharmacist Heldfond in the early 1900’s for his clients. At his compounding pharmacy, Pharmacist Heldfond discovered certain mixes of ingredients would create drastic differences in the appearance of aging skin, including acne, age spots, and wrinkles. Over the next twenty years and through the help of his real life experiences, Pharmacist Heldfond refined this formula and turned it into the Dream of Youth, the first true beauty cream of the Heldfond family business.
When the son Robert Heldfond Sr. joined the pharmaceutical team in the ‘20s, he wanted to improve the absorption quality of the Dream of Youth by developing a non-greasy, less irritating mixing base. The result base became highly loved and desired by area nurses and women for the effect the base had on their hands and faces. Robert Sr. didn’t stop there. He continued to mix the base with other natural ingredients until the effects on skin were astounding. The result, eb5, was in an instant success that has become a national favorite, especially after its 1980 write-up in The Oregonian.
The Heldfonds haven’t stopped with one or two successes. Robert’s son, Robert Heldfond, Jr., has taken over as CEO of the family business. In doing so, he has successfully expanded eb5 beyond just the original eb5 facial cream into an entire skin care line. Even as the line expands, the quality and tradition of the Heldfond pharmacy continues in its products today.
