I have since tried this as a shampoo, and I really like it now. It feels like it's stripping the oil from my hair, but the result is that my hair feels fuller afterwards. Be sure to use conditioner though, as long hair will tangle. I will try it again on my body and face to see if the burning sensation subsides. I'd like the results that most other reviewers experience.

I've been looking for a natural cleanser just to try something different. I did all my research before I bought it and I was so excited when I purchased it. After the first night I tried it I immediately saw and felt a difference!! My skin felt squeaky clean and it just looked clean. It is a little drying, so I just use shea or cocoa butter on after and my skin glows. I definitely recommend this.

This soap is very good for clearing up Keratosis pilaris on my arms, my skin has never been so smooth or so soft. It's a bit harsh for my face as a daily use bar, but if I use it every couple of days it keeps the skin clear of minor acne breakouts.

My best friend/older sister had mentioned that we needed to try African Black Soap for our skin issues (her, dryness, redness; me, moderate acne, medium-big pores); she had read somewhere that is was supposed to work wonders and it is all natural. So what do I do? I start researching and kept seeing "Cleopatra's Choice" popping up in the web searches, but was hesitant to buy from an unknown online vendor, so I trekked to the local Target and bought the Shea Moisture African Black Soap. That worked a little, but then I started to break out more, so I broke down and ordered this little 4 oz. bar from Cleopatra's.
The best decision I have made EVER.
It works GREAT. Absolutely great. I love it. LOVE LOVE LOVE it. And YES, it made my acne disappear. Completely. Yep, completely. It even lightened the scarring I was experiencing from past breakouts, so that was an additional blessing.
I cleared up within a month to a month and a half's worth of time. I used it once in the morning and once at night before bed. For a moisturizer, I applied Cleopatra's Choice Yellow Shea Butter on top, and massaged it in really good, and would go to bed. To be quite honest, I did not think that this soap would work, especially after paying for Proactive, Neutrogena, and all that other stuff. But this, just truly truly amazing. It works. Seriously seriously works.Not only did it clear up my acne, but my pores shrunk down to being nonexistent; faded old acne scars, and cleared up any redness I was experiencing.
I will continue to purchase the black soap because it has helped my skin so much, and it feels so good :)

I have rosacea and my skin sometimes is very dry so I was very surprised that after the first time using the soap my skin did not feel tight or dry but rather soft and moisturized. A few days after I noticed that the redness on my face disappeared and my skin tone evened out as well. I like the fact that soap has nothing artificial in it and it is also unscented. African Black soap is my new favorite in skin care.

Ladies I have to say that this product really really works. I have very very sensitive skin and ezcema. My skin would itch and be very dry after taking a bath using a regular bar soap and body washes but let me tell you that after trying the African Black Soap that I bought from Cleopatra's a few weeks ago my skin is no longer itching or dry after I bathe with the African Black Soap. This product leaves my skin soft and renewed looking its like majic ,I can't believe how good my skin looks after a bath ,its like you've put lotion on your skin because it looks so soft and smooth. I love this soap. I have been using black soap for about two months, and my acne is completely gone. I suffer from horomonal acne, which has resulted in hyperpigmentation along the jaw line. I am amazed that this product helped make my pores look smaller, and my skin feels a lot softer. I have only been using this for a few days and I'm really impressed, I can't wait for the long term results! I was afraid to use it at first since I have very dry, and very sensitive skin. Your skin can feel a little dry after using it, so make sure you moisterized afterwards, I have been using shea butter which I also got from this website. Will be ordering again, Very fast shipping!!!
Forgot to mention, that I don't rub the soap directly on my face, can be a little rough; so just work up a lather in your hands and wash with the foam.

I have oily skin even though I'm in my 40s, and I also have some acne and rosacea. This soap is a bar of exfoliation without being rough. Most exfoliator soaps have bits of things in them, but this doesn't. It exfoliates through the sulfur in the ash, and it does sting on any spots, but then I wash it off, and it peels off the dead skin! I moisturize afterwards or else I would be dry, but it leaves my skin flake-free, softer, brighter, and clearer. My son said it looks like poop, which is true, but I just won't use it as a household decoration! I love it, and I love the price.

I just started using this product about 3 weeks ago. I bought it for acne and I haven't seen any difference in clearer skin yet, but I've only been using it for a short while. The soap is very luxurious and it lathers up so well! It doesn't smell like harsh perfumes and it makes my skin feel squeaky clean after I use it. It even works well for removing my makeup. The only slight drawback is that it will leave a film in the sink so you have to clean it after every use, but the soft clean feeling is worth it!

I was having skin issues so decided to try this product. I had immediate results and within days my skin felt smooth and soft. I was waiting to see my doctor, so when I finally was able to see him and found out I have rosacea, I was already on the road to recovery. And now I see there is a line for that here too that I will try. One of my samples with my order was for the Adovia Anti-Wrinkle Cream which I love. My neck has been dry and wrinkly, and after just one application, it's soft. And STAYS that way. Another sample was the mud mask and that was fabulous too.
Plus, I couldn't believe how quickly my products arrived. I have nothing but glowing reports for this site and their products!

I purchased the African Black Soap after seeing Dr. Oz. It was highly recommended on his show for dry skin. Both my husband and I suffer from Winter's dry weather and decided to purchase the African Black Soap. We were not disappointed with the results. Up until now ive always used a liquid makeup remover especially for waterproof eye makeup and have always had residue left over the next day. I purchased this product because I have dry combination skin (a difficult skin type to treat) that still breaks out in acne at 30 years old. I was trying a set of other natural products that cleared the acne but left me with blackheads for the first time in my life. I initially used this with Shea Butter as the follow-up moisturizer but the shea butter was a little heavy for my facial skin. I switched to Argan Oil and the results have been AMAZING! My skin is the clearest it has ever been, and the argan oil is actually making the wrinkles that were starting to appear completely disappear! A word of caution though, if you buy this soap make SURE you use a great natural moisturizer like shea butter or argan oil right afterwards because the soap does dry the skin out.

I wish I had taken a picture of my leg before I started using the black African soap on it.I had stopped wearing capris and shorts in the hot summer because of the large area that had psoraisis.Now the skin is just a tint darker than the rest of the leg.No more scaley,peeling skin,.I'm still working on a spot below each knee.The soap is a miracle soap.Wish I had found it sooner.

my skin is now so soft. i have little dark marks on my arms and legs and since i have been using the black soap i swear the marks seem lighter i think it is due to the soap is scrubbing away the dead skin. my skin has never felt this soft in a long time. i would say to anyone buy this soap. i also like how there is no smell to it. only bad thing i don't like it will leave scrape on your skin. but it will make your skin so soft and smooth. love this soap and will be getting some more, very soon!!!!

I ordered this soap along with the shea butter (but I haven't started using that yet). In fact still finishing up another soap but started this one when my shampoo ran out, and I've been using it as shampoo and on my face for almost a week now. I haven't experienced any of the burning some other people have and have noticed an improvement in the texture of my skin. I'm in my mid-40s and have oily/combination skin with occasional break-outs, so I'm eager to see how this soap deals with that condition. In addition, with my hyperpigmentation, I'm also hoping to see an improvement in tone with continued use. I'll continue to use this soap and order from this vendor. I've loved the timely shipping, the follow-ups and the great customer service.

I heard about this soap as a possible treatment for acne. I read many positive reviews about it on the internet on how it cleared up acne. I've suffered with moderate to slightly severe acne for the last few years, I'm fair skinned, with oily to combination sensitive skin and I literally tried everything (the dermatologist, various acne products etc.) when I first bought this and tried it, it was a disaster. Within a matter of days I broke out with these horrible cysts and blackheads. I was told my skin my "purge" it self so I kept trying it for about two weeks. But it kept getting worse until I started to get really bad discoloration. So now, months later, after trying to clear my skin up, I'm trying to figure out what to do. Maybe I'll try the Dead Sea products by Adovia or something. Either way don't waste your money on this.

I got four bars the last time to have enough for myself and then give some to my two daughters. This is a terrific product as it cleans really well, produces loads of lather, and lasts a long time. Feeling soft as a baby

The first week of using this soap, I did not notice a difference on the condition of my skin- I suffered from ingrown hairs on my legs and VERy dark armpits. BUT by the second week my armpits are AMAZING. My legs are soft; with NO INGROWN HAIRS. Now I can wear shorts and strapless shirts! I threw away all my chemical filled body care products. I will continue to buy it!!!!

I recieved my order in a timely manner. I used the soap for my face that was experiencing dryness. Proud to say that after two days of using the Black soap and Shea butter, I can tell a difference in my skin. Thanks for such wonderful products. I will buy again.

I have fallen in love with the Africa Black soap & Adovia Dead Sea moisturizing salt soap both are great for your skin Very healing, And the new Shea butter. And I have sensitive skin and old sun damage

My order, Unrefined Shea Butter and African Black soap came promptly and without question. Anxiously I used the Black Soap that night and was impressed with the luxurious feel as I washed my face. The soap is a little drying but not where your face is ashy looking and applying the Shea Butter afterwards is the perfect solution.
I am seeing some changes to my complexion eventhough I don't suffer with acne, I wanted to move away from using products with tons of chemicals to product that are more natural. I have found just the right Natural products! I even shared a section of one of my African Black Soap bars with a friend suffering with acne. Waiting to hear from here.

Its my first time using this soap. it was recommended by my aunt who have a lot of dark spots on her skin. i have that same problem as well so i decided to try it. the first 2 times using it, i notice that there were a lot of rough pieces of hard material that was scratching my skin. i had a few bruises after using it for a few days, i got around the roughness of the soap. other than that i love it. i love the fact that there's not much of a high scent because i don't like scented soaps. it cleans my body and my skin feels good after a hot shower. my husband started using it but after the second bath, he said it was burning his skin, which i notice myself. overall I'm giving this soap a chance to prove itself since i have been using it a week now.

I tried this soap for my face, it did help clear it up, the first few times I used it, my skin was left dry, but after a few days it was much better!
