Acne Skin Care
If you experience common breakouts, pimples and have very oily skin, most likely you
need to take special care of their skin in
order to avoid inflaming the problem. Here
are some suggestions to prevent exacerbating
their condition.
Although all cases tend to
be unique, there are a few common care techniques
for decreasing the severity of, treating , and
preventing long term dermatological damage from acne.
1) Washing the
face or body regularly with a non-abrasive
mild skin cleanser twice a day can clear away
clogged or infected pores, care for the skin, and allow the skin
to naturally heal. Doing this too often or
too vigorously will strip away the skin's natural
oils and inhibit growth of new, healthy skin
cells, as well as aggravate already damaged
areas.
2) Avoid picking
at or molesting outbreaks. Tearing damaged
skin has the effect of spreading bacteria
to healthy areas as well as disrupting the
bodies natural regeneration. This also presents
the risk of embedding oils and bacteria even
deeper in the epidermal layer of the skin causing future acne
outbreaks and the possibility of scarring.
3) Using make-up
to hide acne will, in most cases, increase
the potential and severity of outbreaks. Make-up is the anti skin care and
has a tendency to block pores which is the
cause of acne. Further blockage will retard
the healing process, so make sure to always
remove make-up as soon as it's no longer needed.
For people with acne problems it's a good
idea to use oil free make-up and foundation.
4) It's always
a good idea to wash after exercising as sweat
can clog pores. The excess amount of salt
in sweat will also disrupt the healing of
open sores. Sweat can also clog pores which may cause buildup of bacteria and is a common cause of acne breakouts, blackheads and pimples.
5) Remember,
there is no treatment that works over
night, even if you are using a specific product like the acne soap, so have patience with whatever treatment
you choose. Switching skin care treatment from brand to brand, too frequently
won't necessarily allow for successful results.
Also even though there is no proven relationship
between diet and acne, its always a good idea
to eat healthily and exercise regularly. Drink plenty of water and avoid foods with high fat and oil content. It is recommended that you drink at least 8 cups or glasses of water per day. This helps flush out toxins from your system and improves overall skin health and vitality.
